The history of the creation and development of the oldest and cheapest heating on the Earth
Radiation is the oldest heating – an electromagnetic wave – caused by light and sunlight, thanks to which the life of intelligent beings, that is people on our planet, and certainly not the only ones, arose. The seasons, climatic zones, changing weather and nights forced people to invent a fire, which provided them with a simple, fast and direct form of receiving light and heat from the combustion of biomass (grass, trees) and mining energy resources (coal, oils, gases). This took place for a very long time in open furnaces, later in semi-open – fireplaces and closed tiled or brick furnaces.
Closed furnaces allowed to heat (leaning or lying on them) with warmth through the conductivity; warm air received by convection from tiles, but also to feel radiation or radiation from a distance. Thanks to these advantages and the fourth largest, namely the possibility of heat accumulation – tile stoves have become the most effective heating hybrid for mankind, which continues to this day and certainly will last longer.
After refining it with closed metal fireplace cassettes, it is the surest alternative to central heating with the possibility of spreading warm air throughout the house – and thus also as a central heating and, for example, when there is no electricity necessary for a popular and already archaic since 1716, central heating water boiler. The preference for this (not necessarily boiler) indirect heating is today (at the beginning of the 21st century) a measure of the economy’s mismanagement and backwardness and leads to all kinds of financial and economic crises of of states, enterprises and homes.
Modern technology
In the 1970s, American and Russian scholars faced a dilemma of heating rooms with people at orbital stations in a space where the temperature fluctuates around -100 ° C. In these rooms you need to ensure a comfortable positive temperature, and in addition at this distance from the Earth there is a minimum gravity in which a popular convection heater does not heat. The American scientists from the Heating Center in Albuquerque (New Mexico) have benefited from the known laws of physics that “heat” does not rise up and that it is an electromagnetic wave – light, and that the fastest and direct form of receiving this phenomenon will be electricity and not necessarily for heating or for lighting from alternating current. They used solar photovoltaics and surface heating graphite resins as a source. In contrast, the effect of radiation gave them a mineral, which is in composition of bricks made by the Indian Pueblo tribe (a group of Indian tribes from Arizona), which inspired American scientists in the solution of heating space ships.
And so the NASA space technology gave birth to the first company producing electric radiators – ASTEC from New Mexico. The first applied technology, called ECOSUN, was taken over by the company Berco in the USA and in 1992 in Europe by Fenix (Czech Republic) and Rotal (Poland). All others produced on the example of ECOSUN, for example in China or South Korea are proverbial pried counterfeits of ecosuns. The whole effect of radiation and, at the same time, economic effect of radiator is ensured by an even distribution of resistance in the graphite fabric, so as not to obtain more unit power than 0.1 W / mm², thereby achieving an economic temperature of around 110 ° C, whether when using it in the radiators for domestic rooms or for breeding and greenhouse purposes.
However, the temperature of the “black body” from a distance of about 80 cm from the plate should be about 32 ° C. According to Stefan-Boltzmann law, radiation is growing in the fourth power. From the above, it also follows that the radiator does not necessarily have to be electric, and it can be powered by warm liquid, air or exhaust and the most important element of each radiator is the type and structure of its front surface. The Δt between this front surface and the back surface is very important – especially in the case of electric and water radiators.
The most popular and increasingly popular heating is the electric radiators of various European and world companies with different powers up to 1000 W for the purposes of zone heating and domestic central heating in all rooms as well as in animal and vegetable breeding. For high premises (halls), even prescriptive heating should be high-temperature radiant heating, i.e. where the temperature of the radiating surface fluctuates in the economic range of about 270 ° C. Such radiators have an aluminum radiating element covered with electrolytic quartz and a cable resistor. Not using such a few years ago led to a construction disaster in Katowice (collapse of the exhibition hall with pigeons). The second type of electric radiators are radiators in a glass version with a heating cable. In 2008, a team of scientists dr. Eng. Peter Kosack from the Technische Universitat Kaiserslautern proved the superiority of electric radiation heating above water, gas central heating.
Investment in any monetary zone saves money for 10 years of electric heating fees. In operation, an electric radiator consumes 2.8 times less energy than water gas central heating. If drawn costs are added, the above savings will be even greater.
